Spring 2025 AfterDark events will take place from 9pm to 1am on January 31, February 28, and April 11.

Three vendor spaces will be available during each AfterDark event. Vendors may reserve a space on a first-come, first-served basis at a cost of $800 per event or $2000 for all three events. Payment may be made by check or credit card.

  • The Memorial Union will provide one six foot table with two chairs, one parking pass for the Memorial Union parking ramp, and access to electricity if needed. Vendors should supply their own extension cords.
  • Displays may occupy a reasonable amount of space immediately surrounding the table but may not block access to doorways or interrupt the flow of traffic through the building. Vendors will be asked to provide a brief description of their display, including any planned activities or giveaways, in advance of the event.
  • Displays must comply with fire code and safety restrictions. If there are any concerns about a display, Memorial Union staff will notify the vendor immediately and work out an alternative solution.
  • Vendors should plan to arrive and be set up by 8:30 pm and exit the building by 1:00 am. Vendors may leave the event early but fees will not be pro-rated.
  • Vendors agree to remain in their assigned space and not roam around the building soliciting students. Vendors also agree not to place or leave flyers or other marketing materials on any surfaces in the Memorial Union without prior authorization from Memorial Union staff.
  • No food or beverages may be distributed at the event. Exceptions may be possible for prepackaged, sealed items—interested vendors should contact Memorial Union staff prior to reserving a vendor space to discuss this option.
  • Selling food/services/products during AfterDark events is not permitted, but vendors may give away coupons, promotional items, employment applications, or other information about their products and services. Credit card solicitation is prohibited at Iowa State University.
  • Vendors must comply with the Iowa State University Memorial Union Facility Use Policy and other applicable Iowa State University policies.
  • Fees will only be refunded if the AfterDark event is cancelled by the Memorial Union. Vendors who do not comply with the above policies will be ineligible to participate in the future and no refund will be issued for pre-paid reservations.
  • The Memorial Union reserves the right to decline requests from entities that are not in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Iowa State University, the Memorial Union, and/or ISU AfterDark.

AfterDark Vendor Application
