We Lead Poster Information
We Lead gives Iowa State students the opportunity to hone their leadership skills, develop tools for identifying the needs of their community, and how to organize people around them.

All Iowa State University students are welcome to attend We Lead. This event is free for all Iowa State University students. Light snacks will be provided.

Saturday, October 26th, 2024 | 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. | Memorial Union Campanile Room

  • Learn how to identify the needs of your community and organize the people around you with Saul Flores
  • Engage in a panel discussion with local community organization leaders
    • Cameron Gray | CEO & Founder of The Buxton Initiative, a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that offers Black spaces for Black people to feel seen, heard, and be present
    • Holly Clemons | Advisor to The Closet, a student organization that helps provide free, gently used business attire for ISU students
    • Sharon Stewart | Owner of Lockwood Cafe at Reliable Street, a new approach to art, community, and friendship in Ames

We Lead is presented in partnership with The Center for LGBTQIA+ Student Success and Margaret Sloss Center for Women and Gender Equity. This event is funded by Iowa State University Student Government.
