GSB Regular Allocations FY16
The Government of the Student Body will be holding its Spring Regular Allocations Process soon. The purpose of GSB doing this allocations process, known as Regular Allocations, is to support student activities at Iowa State while fulfilling its mission to serve students and improve the student experience through advocacy and empowerment. In order to aid in understanding of the funding process and the specific rules being used this year, please have your treasurer attend one of the informational sessions as listed on the GSB webpage. In this meeting, requirements and eligibility to receive GSB funding, the process of requesting funding, and the process that takes place once a budget is submitted will be explained.
At this meeting, there will be an opportunity to see how to utilize the online budgeting system (known as OFP2) that GSB utilizes, and ask any questions that you may have about the process. Please email gsbfd@iastate.edu if you have any questions.

Is Your Organization Planning an Event?
If your answer is yes, and if that event includes guests, members of other organizations, is open to the Iowa State Community, or individuals from other universities, you need to have your event authorized. You begin by emailing eventauthorization@iastate.edu to request the Online Event Authorization PowerPoint and to be added to the system. The PowerPoint will show you step-by-step instructions, which you can then follow to fill out an Online Event Authorization Form and submit it online at least ten class days prior to the date of the event. Your event may require more time to be authorized depending on the details of your program, so please start this process as soon as you begin planning.
Have other questions? Check out the Event Authorization FAQ page first, and if you have additional questions, please email eventauthorization@iastate.edu.
