Check out all the new features available to your club in the Student Organization Database!
  • Display all your club's photos in the new photo gallery application.
  • Use the new calendar feature to list events and meetings for your members and anyone who visits your webpage. Students can also subscribe to your calendar so that your events show up on their personal calendar within the student organization database, which can be found under "My Stuorg," and then "Calendar."
  • Once you create your event on the calendar, you can have event attendees check in with a prox card or card swipe reader that collects participant names in a database within your website. You can then pull an attendance report at any time.
  • Manage your subscribers! Students, faculty, staff and anyone with an account can subscribe to your organization to get announcements in addition to the information on your calendar. Be sure to visit the "Manage Subscribers" page to see who's subscribing to your organization, and invite others to subscribe. Once you have a list, you can create and send announcements to those subscribers within the site.
Let us know if you need any help with these new features! We here to help in the Student Activities Center.

Resources and Opportunities

Story County Youth Volunteer Awards

Nominations now open for outstanding young volunteers for the 10th annual award ceremony to individuals and groups who performed outstanding volunteer service in Story County in the past year. The awards are given by the Volunteer Center of Story County and the Iowa State University Student Activities Center.

Check out the Student Organization Marketplace!

The Student Organization Marketplace is an online tool where recognized student organizations at Iowa State University are able to extend their business to the internet and more effectively reach the larger Iowa State community and beyond. Student organizations can use the Marketplace to sell event registrations, collect memberships dues, and receive non-charitable donations. By purchasing a product through the Student Organization Marketplace, the customer is directly supporting a recognized student organization.

Co-Sponsor ISU AfterDark

ISU AfterDark is an organization that provides students with fun and exciting late-night activities.

Upcoming dates: March 4 & April 8

For each of these events, we need co-sponsors to host different activities for the AfterDark attendees. These activities have included trivia, dancing, crafts, carnival games and Henna tattoos. You can be as creative as you would like, and we will pay up to 100% of the cost of your supplies. Plus this is great exposure to over 2,000 students, and helpful in recruiting new members to your organization!

If you're interested in co-sponsoring an activity, please visit afterdark.iastate.edu  and complete a Proposal Form.
