Resources and Opportunities for Organizations and Officers
Participate in a Campus-Wide Mock Election
Our voting system is something that most people take for granted. Yet the mechanics of how we vote gets at the core of the democratic process: how do we choose our leaders and hold them accountable? Ranked Choice Voting is a change to our voting system that has potential to help address many of the problems facing American politics - to make it broader, more competitive and more civil. RCV is quickly gaining popularity throughout America and enjoys support all along the political spectrum. Better Ballot Iowa, Students for a Better Ballot and the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics are organizing a campus-wide mock election to educate the student body on this important issue. The mock election will culminate with an event on the evening of March 30 at 7 p.m. in the Cardinal Room of the MU. We need your help in organizing and executing the mock election. Students of all stripes are welcome, even if you’re new to the issue.
To volunteer or for more information, please contact Justin Hollinrake: justinh7@iastate.edu

Submit Your Nominations for the Women Impacting ISU Calendar
Do you know a woman at Iowa State who positively impacts the university through her actions, involvements and achievements? If YES, then nominate her for the 2023 Women Impacting ISU calendar. The annual calendar highlights the impact of 12 women – faculty, staff and students – currently on the Iowa State campus.
Nominations of students are particularly welcomed, as fewer students are typically nominated each year.
Instructions for nominating someone and a link to the nomination form are available at https://go.iastate.edu/BTT82P. Completed nominations must be received by 11:59 p.m., Friday, Sept. 30, 2022.

Preserve Your Organizations History with University Archives
Student organizations play an important role in college life and have a lasting impact on the University. Because of the nature of being a student sees you leave after graduating, much of the history of an organization can be lost or forgotten over time. The Iowa State University Archives invites student organizations to partner with us to help preserve your organization’s history, including especially its creation, development, priorities, and activities.
We value the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion. All organizations are welcome and part of the ISU legacy. We particularly welcome organizations of minoritized groups and activists who have often been left out, erased, or otherwise lack a sense of belonging in archives.
For more information on how to participate, please contact Greg Bailey, University Archivist, at gtbailey@iastate.edu.
