Resources and Opportunities for Organizations and Officers
Apply for the Senior Vice President for Student Affairs Student Advisory Board
Applications to be part of the Senior Vice President for Student Affairs Student Advisory Board for the Spring 2020 semester are now open!
A Student Advisor is a contributing and engaged part of the Senior Vice President for Student Affairs (SVPSA) Student Advisory Board. This role will provide honest, thorough, and critical feedback to questions and scenarios that help guide the work of the SVPSA including current campus-related events, programs, and policies, affecting student life at Iowa State University.
On average each month, a Student Advisor will receive via email and/or Canvas, two or three “Engagement Opportunities” from SVPSA and is expected to respond to the topic presented. Most engagement opportunities will be online feedback through Canvas and depending on the topic and urgency, Advisory Board members may have several hours or several days to respond to a request for feedback.
Student Advisors will be compensated for their time and commitment each semester as long as their participation in all engagement opportunities is 80% or more and demonstrates meaningful engagement in all projects. The payment will be $200 each semester.
