Gain Experience with a Non-Profit Organization
The Student Activities Center and the United Way of Story County co-sponsor the Non-Profit Protege Program. Undergraduate ISU students have the opportunity to walk in the shoes of an administrator of a local non-profit organization. Throughout the semester, each protégé attends weekly meetings with their mentor. Participants have opportunities to attend board meetings, experience staff and committee meetings, visit with potential financial donors, and witness the action packed world of being a non-profit leader. This is not an internship experience; rather, it is an opportunity for students to directly shadow a non-profit administrator. The purpose of this program is to give students interested in exploring the non-profit world a firsthand experience in the field. Apply today!
