If you answered YES to any of these questions, then volunteering at Campus Service Day is for you! Campus Service Crew will have shifts available from 8:30am-4:00pm on Saturday, October 20. You can volunteer for only an hour or the whole day, it is totally up to you!

Take Advantage of the Ames Convention & Visitors Bureau Grants
Are you hosting an event or activity open to the general public? If so, the Ames Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) Community Grant Program is here to help! The ACVB offers funds to public and private orgs who strive to create a positive perception of Ames and improve the quality of life for community members.
If you meet the requirements, this may be the perfect opportunity for your student club/org to get the funding you need!
The 2019 deadline is Friday, October 12 at noon. Grants will be awarded to events occurring from December 2018 to December 2019. Visit the ACVB website for additional information and to download the grant application.
Attend an Alternative Breaks Trip
If you're someone who is excited to devote a week of your college life to service, having a great time, and forming lasting memories, then you're the perfect person to go on an Alternative Breaks trip!
Applications for spring break trips are currently open! With trips going all across the country to perform community service, Alternative Breaks are a great way to learn what it means to be an active and caring citizen. Enthusiatic students who are committed to volunteerism and service should apply now.

The annual Iowa State Homecoming Parade will take place on Sunday, Oct. 21, at 2:00 PM on Main Street in Ames.

CALL to Leadership...Become a Cyclone Aide
Do you want to get more involved at Iowa State, gain quality leadership experience, and get paid for it? Apply to be a Cyclone Aide! This leadership position is a fantastic way to show your Cyclone pride to new students, be part of a team, develop leadership skills, and improve public speaking. Each Cyclone Aide is responsible for representing their academic college at New Student Orientation, giving tours of central campus, and providing excellent customer service to new students and their families. The time commitment for this position is a one year contract from January 2019-January 2020, including a Spring 2019 course for training in the position.
