Reiman Gardens Volunteer Opportunities
Help us bring our Gardens to life! Community Volunteer Opportunities are for everyone! You do not need to be a regular Reiman Gardens volunteer to participate.
For our bigger events and garden projects, we need LOTS of help. Join us as we host special events, change our gardens for the season, and more. All are welcome! Sign up yourself, your friends and family, or a whole organization that would like to work together for a greater cause! See all of our current volunteer opportunities and sign up here.
Many of these options will allow you to earn a free ticket to an upcoming event as a thank-you for your efforts.
Online Fundraising Merchandise and Apparel Store
Looking for a way to sell club apparel to raise funds for your organization? This solution allows your club to work with an ISU-approved vendor to design a trademark-approved item to sell directly to your customers through an online storefront. Your organization’s orders are fulfilled within 1-2 weeks of the storefront closing and can be sent directly to the customer (or shipped to your organization for distribution). Click Here to see the entire process!
Inviting Sustainability Clubs to Table at Campus Sustainability Month Celebration!
Iowa State’s Office of Sustainability is incredibly excited to invite student organizations supporting sustainability (environmental, economic and social) through goals, mission, and initiatives to table at this year’s Campus Sustainability Month Celebration event, on October 23, 10am-2pm on the South Library Lawn.
The theme of this year’s event, “Our Green Promise, Our Sustainable Future” celebrates our collective sustainability contributions (individually, as a campus and community) and challenges us to make our next commitment toward ensuring a sustainable future. The Celebration offers the opportunity to increase awareness of your organization's activities and initiatives, to recruit new members or volunteers, and to market upcoming events.
Taking part is easy! The Live Green! Team will provide tables and event marketing and also the opportunity for attendees to earn prizes through visiting tabling organizations. Reserve your tabling space now by completing the online registering form! Register by Friday, October 13 to ensure your organization's participation.
We look forward to showcasing the outstanding commitment to sustainability and a sustainable future by our student organizations! Email Event Coordinators, Grayson Adickes gadickes@iastate.edu or Saumya Balaji sbalaji@iastate.edu for any questions and more information.
Artists, writers, performers and musicians! Apply for a Focus Grant!
Artists, writers, performers, and musicians! Apply for funding for your creative ideas through Focus, a campus organization supporting students in the arts since 1972. Individuals or groups of students of all majors may apply for up to $600 for artistic projects done outside of the classroom. Grants support creation and presentation of new work in visual art, apparel design, writing, theater, dance, and musical performances.
Funding for Focus Grants is made possible through Student Government; awards are determined by a committee of students, faculty, and staff representing a broad range of the arts. Proposals that most often receive funding show imagination and motivation, and have a clear timeline of production, a detailed budget, and a dedicated advisor.
