Spring Break 2022

• New Orleans, Louisiana

  • Common Ground Relief: Participants worked on Hurricane Ida relief and coastal restoration projects.

• Rising Fawn, Georgia

  • Cloudland Canyon State Park and Habitat ReStore of Chattanooga: Participants worked on various environmental projects in the state park.

• Memphis, Tennessee

  • Serve901: Participants engaged in different types of service activities across the Memphis metro area and will participate in educational opportunities provided by the cite. Serve901 provided tickets to each participant to attend the National Civil Rights Museum in downtown Memphis.

Fall Break 2021

• Willow River, Minnesota

  • One Heartland and Camp Miller: Participants will help the camps with various needs in their offseason as the staff prepare for their summer programming. One Heartland is a camp that provides programming to children who are apart of the LGBTQIA+ community and who face social oppression. Camp Miller is the oldest YMCA camp in Minnesota and the 4th oldest in the United States.

• Chicago, Illinois

  • Project C.U.R.E,  Feed My Starving Children, and the Habitat ReStore: Participants will help organize, sort, and ship medical supplies to hospitals and clinics in developing countries. Participants will also help with children's food insecurity.

Fall Break 2019 

• Minneapolis, Minnesota

  • Second Harvest Heartland: Sorting, repackaging, and labeling food donations to go directly back into the community.

  • People Serving People: Participants will assist with a building beautification project. 

• Kansas City, Kansas

  • NourishKC: Participants will serve and run the Kansas City Community Kitchen.

Spring Break 2020: Unfortunately because of COVID-19 these trips were not fully executed, but our Spring Alt Break participants were prepared to participate in service for their full Spring Break. 

• Jonesville, Virginia

  • Appalachia Service Project: Participants will assist in making homes warmer, safer, and drier for families throughout central Appalachia.

• Rising Fawn (Cloudland Canyon State Park), Georgia

  • Friends of Cloudland Canyon State Park: Participants complete trail revitalization and outdoor maintenance projects. 

• Memphis, Tennessee

  • Serve901: Participants will work on projects focused on a variety of social issues. 

• Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

  • Camp Fire Heart of Oklahoma: Participants will assist in providing group counseling to campers ages 5-15. Also help in facilitating team building activities around the camp.

• New Orleans, Louisiana

  • Common Ground Relief: Participants complete planting/gardening projects, invasive species removal, nursery work, and other work in the neighborhoods of New Orleans
