Cancelled: Sole Hope Volunteer Day

Spend an hour or two of your MLK Day helping others and upcycling – it’s a double win! Volunteers will cut shapes to form a shoe out of donated denim jeans that will then be shipped to Uganda where local shoemakers will craft shoes. Pairs are given out at medical clinics to help prevent the devastating effects of jigger bugs. If you have fabric scissors, bring them along to use.

Sole Hope encourages a $10 donation for each pair of shoes prepared, but it is not required to attend. Donations of jeans are welcome in advance of the event and can be dropped off at The Workspace. Open to all ages if accompanied by an adult. The Workspace hosts volunteer events each three times a year.
